At Clozzet, we value the trust you place in us and understand the importance of safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Deevek Connect Private Limited and its affiliates (collectively "Clozzet", "we", "our" or "us") collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you use the Clozzet mobile app and website (together, the "Platform").

You may browse certain sections of the Platform without registering. Our services are available only within India, and your personal data is stored and processed in India in compliance with Indian law. By using the Platform, providing your information, or availing of any service, you agree to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use and other applicable conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

What we collect

We collect personal information that you provide while registering, transacting or interacting with us. This may include your name, date of birth, address, mobile number, email address and, where required for verification, identity details. With your explicit consent, we may collect sensitive personal data such as payment details (bank account, card or UPI information) and shopping preferences to enhance your experience. We may also collect browsing data, location details and interaction history to improve our services. You may browse anonymously, but once you provide personal data you are no longer anonymous to us.

We may track your buying behaviour, preferences, device information and interactions on the Platform to analyse trends, improve our offerings and enhance your experience. If a third-party partner collects your data, their privacy policy governs that collection, and Clozzet is not responsible for their practices.

If you transact on the Platform, we collect billing address, payment preferences and transaction history to process payments, issue refunds and provide support. If you share messages, reviews, images or feedback, that content may be publicly visible and used for marketing, service improvement or research. If you contact us by email, message or call, we may store the communication for record-keeping, dispute resolution and support.

We do not request banking details, OTPs or passwords via calls, emails or messages. If you receive any suspicious communication claiming to be from Clozzet, report it to our support team or to law enforcement.

On our website

The website at clozzet.in collects less than the app. Specifically:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This sets cookies and records pages visited, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Find me. The store map has a "Find me" button. Only if you tap it, and only if you allow your browser to share your location, we record your coordinates, the time, the nearest store area and the link you arrived from, to understand where demand is and where to add stores. We never request your location without that tap.
  • Forms. If you fill in a form on the About or Careers page, we store what you submit (such as your city, email, name and message) for the purpose stated next to that form, and for nothing else.

Website data is stored in Google Workspace tools accessible only to the Clozzet team.

How we use personal data

We use personal data to provide the services you request. If we use it for marketing, you can opt out of such communications. Your data helps sellers and business partners process and fulfil orders, improve customer experience, resolve disputes, keep the service safe, collect payments, measure interest in products and services, and inform you about offers, products and updates online and offline.

We also use personal data to customise your experience, detect and prevent fraud or other unlawful activity, enforce our terms, and conduct research, analysis and surveys. Any further use will be described at the time of collection.

The app may request access to your SMS, contacts, camera, photo gallery, location and device information to send communications related to your orders and to provide access to products and services offered by sellers, affiliates and partners. Refusing these permissions may limit access to certain features.

We collect and analyse demographic and profile data based on user activity. Your IP address is used to diagnose server issues, administer the Platform and gather demographic insights.

Cookies

We use cookies on certain pages to analyse traffic, measure promotional effectiveness and enhance security. Cookies are small files stored on your device; they do not contain personal data. Some features are available only through cookies, which also let you log in less often and receive information relevant to your interests. Most cookies are session cookies and are deleted automatically when your session ends.

You may decline or delete cookies if your browser permits, though this may limit some features. Third parties may place cookies or similar tools on certain pages, which we do not control.

Sharing

We may share personal data within Clozzet entities, corporate affiliates and business partners to provide you access to their services and products, including financial service providers, logistics partners and marketing partners. These parties may market to you as a result unless you opt out.

We may disclose personal data to payment service providers, reward programme partners and other service providers you have opted for, where necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, enforce our agreements, support marketing, or prevent fraud or illegal activity. We do not sell your data to any third party.

We may disclose personal and sensitive personal data to government agencies or law enforcement when required by law, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, enforce our Terms or this Policy, respond to claims, or protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

The Platform may contain links to external websites that collect personal data. Clozzet is not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Please review their policies before providing information.

Security

We implement reasonable security practices in line with recognised industry standards to protect your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, loss or misuse, including secure servers for account access. Transmission over the internet is never entirely secure, and by using the Platform you acknowledge that inherent risk. We continuously update our security protocols against threats such as hacking and malware. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Choice and opt-out

After setting up an account, you may opt out of non-essential promotional communications. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.

Data deletion and retention

You can delete your account from the Profile and Settings section of the Clozzet app, or contact us for help. Deleting your account removes all account-related information, including order history, preferences, pending orders, exchanges, returns, refunds, coupons and loyalty benefits. If you have pending grievances, claims or shipments, we may delay deletion until they are resolved. Deletion cannot be undone; to use the Platform again you will need to register as a new user.

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected or as required by law. In some cases we retain data to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, exercise legal rights or for other legitimate purposes, and we may keep anonymised data for analysis and research.

Your rights

We take reasonable steps to keep the personal data we process accurate and current. You may access, update or correct your personal data through the features on the Platform, and we will rectify or erase inaccurate data as needed. By using the Platform or sharing information with us, you consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure and processing of your data as described in this Policy. If you provide another person's data, you confirm you have the authority to do so. You also consent to Clozzet, its affiliates, partners and service providers contacting you by SMS, instant messaging, calls and email for the purposes described here.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated on the Platform and, where required by law, by email. Please review this page periodically.
